When in Rome by Sarah Adams:
Review
When in Rome by Sarah Adams actually came out last year but wasn't read or reviewed as much as her other book, Booktok favorite The Cheat Sheet. Earlier last month, she published another book called Practice Makes Perfect which has climbed it's way up the ladder.
I had seen When in Rome on social media last year but simply put it in my tbr. This month, I started a little book club on Fable where our first book was chosen to be When in Rome. Although I didn't think this book was bad, it didn't come to mind how addicting the book and the writing style actually is.

Summary
Famous popstar Amelia, mostly known by her stage name Rae, feels like she doesn't have any control over her life anymore since becoming the biggest hit in pop history. So she did what most of us would. She picked a random Aubrey Hepburn movie and eneded up on Roman Holidays and ran away without telling anyone to the closest Rome; Rome, Kentucky. When she almost arrives in the mysterious town, her car stops in the middle of no where with no lights and no reception to call for help. That's when a man taps on her window asking her for help. She is certain that she is now his pray but he assures her that she's not and he's only asking since her car stopped in his front yard. After much bickering, she decides to trust the man and the lovely woman who gave her peace of mind that he wouldn't do anything to her and entered his house to sleep in the guest room for just one night until she can call a machenic the next morning. All is going smoothly until the man realizes who she is and a distain starts to form.
The Plot
Although the plot is quite similar through out the entirety of the book, it still manage to suck me in! This book has some of the best tropes known to man and the trope combo simply did something to my brain. The tropes found here are Strangers to Friends to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Found Family, Small Town Romance, Grumpy/Sunshine and Famous FMC/ Unfamous MMC. The book is definitely one of comfort and pure fluff. I wouldn't say that this book has any spice with it so if you want to have a quick read, this is definitely the book for you seeing as I finished this in 3 days.
The Characters
Amelia Rose
I feel like Amelia did what most of the time we wish to do when our lives start to crumble and fall apart, run away to Rome of coarse. Her love for Audrey Hepburn practically CARRIED this book for me and it made me want to binge every Audrey Hepburn book which exists. I enjoyed how the author didn't give her a stupid reason to run away from her life because I feel like it's really relatable to lose interest in something you love just because people start to pressure you and use it against with that you lose that love you once had for it.
Noah Walker
Noah. Noah... Hmm... I genuinely don't know what to say about Noah other than I love him. The author wrote a list of my dream man and ended up with Noah. He's grumpy, likes to read, owns a pie shop and will make you some fluffy pancakes in the morning! What else can you want in a man?! Nothing. That's your clear answer. In conclusion, Noah is setting my standards for real, breathing males too high but I won't do anything about that.
